The less we are taxed the more we will spend, thus the more money for businesses which means more jobs, higher pay, more businesses paying corporate taxes, etc. Low taxes are a big benefit to the economy, high taxes hurt the economy. The government is there to provide roads, schools and hospitals and should tax enough to keep those sort of things running smoothly, they should not be taking money to put into things like the sponsorship scandal.
