adding sub to mini home system

I wanted to know if it was possible to add a subwoofer to a mini home stereo system.This is the stereo I have in my room and would like to get a little more bass from it http://www.consumer.philips.com/c/audio-system/mcm285_07/prd/en/ca/ anybody know if its possible and what would I need if anything apart from the subwoofer itself

look for a sub that has line level inputs!
some have both the rca and line level, not all so you need to check before you buy.
the only other thing you will need is more speaker wire.
