in all honesty a good set up would prolly be a nice overdrive tranny good reag gear (3.08 or some thing 2.73 - for gas mileage) then say a 305/350 good tune up with a nice 4 barrel carb, true dual exhaust and headers. prolly get reasonable mileage
but the fun factor is really lacking [img]graemlins/boring.gif[/img]

a vw golf diesel and get WAY better mileage

Don't bother with the 305. There is no advantage over a 350, only disadvantages such as less torque.
Personally I'd do up a 383 if you are into grunt from the light or a 327 if you like to rat around. [img]graemlins/thumb.gif[/img]
Well PERSONALLY it would more likely be a 383 Commando in a Cuda
