Wire speaker in door

I was curious today. So I pulled out my JVC deck to see how Futureshop spliced in to the stock speaker wire for the front doors. I know, they suck. But the install was free when we bought the JVC deck. Anyway, I can't find the spot where they spliced in. So I called them. He actually told me, " It was done professionally. We have to go to school to learn how to do things like that. That's all I can tell you." LOL! It's wiring.......not the trade secrets of Futureshop. Oh well.......... What do you guys think?

Can you take a picture of the wire harness connections behind the deck? They may have used a factory harness connector. That is usually wired to the deck then it just plugs into the factory plugs which controls the speakers and power, gnd, illum, etc.

Futureshops and best buys are all hit or miss. It all depends on which isntaller is working. There's some idiots that have no business within 10 feet of a car. and there's some guys that are at the top of the industry. It's unfortunate that FS and BB have to fill positions with the best qualified applicants.. even if out of 5 applicants, the fact that 1 guy actually owns a car could be why he got hired installing.

Its prolly like he said the wiring harness is plugged into the back of the deck then connected to the factory wiring harness witch is essentually a plug.

IF your car had the factory radio in it and IF the factory stereo was not amplified then they would have used a standard wiring harness adaptor.

So what I read from the OP is you don't even know what that is. Who sucks now?

This is EXACTLY why I don't return the deck keys. Too many people are critics but in reality have no idea where to even begin.

And EVERY dealer is a hit or miss. I've seen just as many hack idiots at indy shops as any chain store.
