Wire gauge question

Wire gauge question
Is there an accurate chart anywhere for Wire gauge for amperage/power?
I'm changing my set up and significantly increasing my power. I'm just wondering what the easiest way to facilitate this is.
Ive got a 4 gauge run of wire (15' maybe) to the back of my car, and i have 2 USA 150's (480 RMS a piece) however i probobly only draw half that power from them.
I'm adding an eclipse amp that puts out somewhere around 1000 rms.
0 gauge, and 0 gauge kits seem to be pretty pricey. would it be simpler for me to just run another length of 4 gauge for the one amp?
I checked out charts on the web, but they seem to differ. I understand its not an exact science due to differances in cables, i just want to be safe.
Thanks
Nathan
