"white" noise on tweeters
I have a 2006 pontiac g6 gt with the 8 speaker monsoon 2ohm system. It has a stock crossover amp so theres 4 wires going to teh rear speakers and 2 to each compoent up front.
I recently bought a set of JBLGTO 607c and Infinity kappa 6by9s installed them to the stock wiring without their crossovers (just using the stock crossover amp).
The speakers sound amazing...way louder with much better bass. However on low volumes and inbetween songs the tweeters send out a "white" or "static" noise. The noise doesnt seem to go up or down with the volume, and is thus drowned out by the other speakers as I turn the volume up. I tried wiring up the aftermarket crossovers as filters (highs in and out) but that did nothing.
Any suggestions other than a rewire or replacing the amp? I want to keep everything as stock as possible. I was thinking a bass blocker might be worth a shot?
thanks
