Where to buy bass blockers...
soooo yeah, does anyone know any stores in the GTA (the real GTA, not the Caledon GTA) that sell bass blockers? i've been looking into some ways to improve sq without having to get new speakers and another amp and so on and so forth. i figure these will help remove some of the lower end from my speakers. anyone have any suggestions?

oh it does, but from what I've seen online bass blockers are relatively cheap so it wouldn't be a huge investment on my part, and it is really just to see if it has any significant impact. I mean, I think the crossovers on the deck is great, but like I said, its just to see if it would make any difference. that and I've got a friend who put in a new deck but his crossover set up on it is crap, so if they help I would be putting some in his car as well

The only place I would use bassblockers is on factory speakers when all you want to add to your system is an amp and sub to put more bottom end punch to a factory installed system. Once you have upgraded past that point your HPF/LPF on your amps should be all you need. You should be able to find all the info you need to set them up in your owners manual or online at the manufacturer's site. Adding bass blockers to remove something that is not even there anymore would be a waste of time and money.

... no, no no no no no no no no no... no! resisters are not bass blockers they are electron blockers... they essentially 'absorb' the amplifiers energy and turn it into heat the bass is lower and so is every other frequency too
so you would prefer to spend money and splice wires when you have a preamp that can do the same thing faster for free .... or you can just tell us you lost the instructions on your HU and don't know how to use it (been there done that)
