Whats making that sound?

the vent width is 2.5", it goes 14" inside the box, then at a 90 degree angle another 5" piece of wood is screw to the other. creating that L shape. As for the sub-sonic filter, there is a little switch that says filter, and it is not on the off position so if thats the subsonic filter switch then it is on.

I had the same problem with a vented box and it tured out that the carpeting around the vent had become unglued. When the bass really started to pump the 2 carpeted walls in the vent vibrated against each other creating the bottoming out sound. I just cut out the carpeting and the problem was fixed.
You may just want to check that that's not your problem.

maybe the problem is that the subs are bottoming out? i dunno i can look at it for you pretty soon just hit me up on msn and maybe i can help you out. I know your amps is underpowering them as we speak but that might not be the problem either. Dunno have to hear to understand what is going on.
Also having the hole to big isn't helping with the sound of the sub. That doesn't create the most rigid mount i've seen. Anyways write me and well figure something out
