Hey everybody,

The stock radio on my dad 08 Dodge Sprinter turbo diesel the bed, so I bough deck and everything necessary to install it.

The install went well and the deck turned on right away (it turns on even with the key not in the ignition just like the stock radio) while I was in the car, but as soon as I opened the door it shut down, but even when you close the door it doesn't turn back on again and you have to wait a few minutes before it does.

Same thing happens with the ignition on.

And when I start the van the deck completely refuses to turn on.


I just wanted to see if someone has any ideas because I'm sure there are plenty of people out there that know a lot more than me and have more experience in this sort of thing.

Run your own constant 12V for the yellow wire and find a 12v switched (with key on and acc) line somewhere for your red wire. Should solve the problem.
