very strange Amp noise.

Well have you tried getting a hold of someone elses sub and hooking it up for a quick second? Might it possibly be your subs fried? I have an old Kicker CVR, and one of the coils are ripped. Everytime the bass hits, it makes this like ringing sound. Maybe you pounded her to hard in the past and it's catching up to you.

nope not the sub , I don't think ..this thing kicks ***. really it does sound great at all levels,.....
I am just concerned about the noise 'pop' if one of my passengers touches the amp or somethin /
That and the alt. noise sucks when I'm listening at low levels.
..............that being said , I really do appreciate the input, and I will check with a different sub this weekend.

I might suspect an internal problem with the amp....... but the original poster needs to try muting plugs before anyone can say.....

Trusting that all of your electrical grounds are good, it could be a signal issue. Perhaps your head unit is screwed-up and it's negative RCA line is pooched. The amp would be receiving an audio signal but unable to unload it properly causing a hum and a buzz.
Since you know its not your RCAs do test it with another source (as mentioned an Ipod, or even your home CD player) and see if the problem dissappears. If it does, then question your deck, and the integrity of your deck's grounding etc.
