i just grabbed an old glass lol, a litre?? damn lol i found if i went more the about 5oz at a time it would start geling , so like 4oz and a lil less hardener i found worked well... i added a couple layers to some weak spots last night, want to trim it down, but i got 5 hours of sleep before work today and im a lil out of it..... but man what a party on 17th ave after the game WOOOOOOOOOOOYEAAA!

hmmm guess along with experience comes speed and time management lol, i figure id rather screw up a few ounces, vs a litre, stuffs to expensive for me to waste lol, mind u imma have to go buy another gallon of resin to start the box, the amp rack alone has used about 2L and 3sq/m of cloth ish... and i still have to do the fleece when i get a day im not too tired to use the rotozip deally without losing a finger.....

The problem is I think you are using bad resin. It should gel in a completely predictable time every time. If you mix it according to the directions it should gel in the time it says and be cured in the time it says. CT resin is a crapshoot, sometimes it's quicker, sometimes it never seems to cure. Get some friends and go together on some good resin, you will save time and money in the long run.

^ Exactly. While temperature has to be considered, if I mix a litre with 1-1.2% MEKP then I can do a good job of laying it in and it starts to set just as I am finishing. If it's colder I bump that up as high as 2-2.5%.
If ou are getting 300-400mls setting before you can get it on then you must be moving very slowly or using way too much MEKP

yea i only had the one batch gel up on me before i finished, i think i did use a lil too much MEKP, i did hold back a lil with it after that, i dunno i dont mind mixin 5-6 smaller batches vs 1 large one, only takes an extra 30 seconds to mix more so no biggie.... happy to report i got my second PPI2120 this morning so now the hunt is really on for another 2240..... plus i gotta figure out how i wanna wire everything up...
heres a question one of u guys could probly answer, what size fuse am i gonna need to run under the hood? the 2120s each have a 25amp internal fuse, the 2240 has 2 20amp fuses, and im lookin at having 2 of each in the end, now do i just add all the amp fuses and go with say a 130amp or closest to it fuse? or what? im figuring ill run 1-2gauge wire from the battery, to the distrobution block, then 4ga from the block to the amps.
sound like a good plan? or would 4 gauge all around do the job? its not gonna be an SPL car, so i dont need like 0ga or welders cable or anything like taht...
so yea, advice is welcome, i hope to have the rest of the amp rack construction done this weekend, unfortunately i wont have it all done up in time for the triple obviously
