when working with fibreglass, and acetone.... they dont much get along with plastic cups [img]graemlins/banghead.gif[/img]

im glad i learned that lesson with the 8oz of resin in a cup OUTSIDE my car lol that could have been a nasty mess to clean up..... yea and acetone eats right thru those fawkers too oh well live and learn..... good news is, ive got the base layer down for how i wanna mount my 2 frontstage amps [img]graemlins/thumb.gif[/img] I HAVE A DREAM! lol should look cool i think its gonna be a fun time gettin the base outta the car once it all dries tho....:S

so theres some tiny, crappy pics taken with my webcam, man that sucker was a behotch to get out..... cuts and scrapes all over my hands...... damn shiznit.... i got a lil more layers to ad to strengthen it a lil in weak spots, then im gonna make some pedistals for the amps to sit above the wheel wells, then stretch some fleece and more resin time.....

well it didnt much like the safeway plastic party cups i bought thinkin "hey this will be a good way to aviod makin a mess and i can toss em out after"......

WRONG lol like i said, least i learned that OUTSIDE the car


PS i ended up using a couple of glasses i found from the guy who lived here before us for both the resin and acetone..... lol works well enuff fer me lol

well I know about the cups thing plastic slurppy cups no go either

and if you mix your resin hot then look out the cups be gone fast

I try to use coffee tins for resin or I just buy thoose cheep painters pails
