Hi, guys

What causes turn-on pop?

Just ran across this site this afternoon, and I hope you guys can help me out with the only problem I have with my system. I have 2 2ch. amps running my mids, and 1 2ch. running 2 10's.
I just replaced my deck this weekend, and now when I turn the ignition, I get a pretty loud turn-on pop (more like a thump, all bass) My old deck didn't do this btw. Thanks

A bad deck ground can cause turn on noise in this case.

different decks use different methods to send the power on signal through the remote turn-on wire to the amp. your previous deck could have had quiet turn on for the amp, and maybe this deck doesn't

This may be a dumb question but:

Is the remote line on the Amp wired to the car ACC line, or is it wired to the deck's ANT/RMT line?

If its the ACC line - that's the problem.

Thanks for the replies,
I just checked the HU ground, and it was good.
one thing I forgot about was the fact that I wired my remote turn-on to my fuse box back when I only had the factory Bloze deck, with one amp and sub . I'll run the remote to the deck tommorrow.
Thanks for the help!
