Truck Audio Help

I am looking for some help/advice from anyone who may have usefull info for a truck owner.

I recently purchased a 2013 ram 1500 Crew cab, and am now stuck with the circumstance of very restricted space. I had a decent system in my previous vehicle and am really missing the sound I grew accustomed too.

What I'm looking for are suggestions on routes that i can take. I understand i wont get the same level of sound I had with my 4 door Jeep, because space wasn't really a consideration with it. But I would still like to be able to feel the bass when I turn it up.

I am aware of the sub boxes for the under-seat storage but I wonder about SQ when it comes to that kind of setup. As well is it worth considering not being able to get the low bass from a sub (because of space considerations) and try just going really nice SQ with a good set of amplified speakers all around.

I am willing to entertain any and all options/suggestions as long as I don't lose use of my back seats.

Thanks in advance.

Under-seat enclosures are a great solution. Location has minimal impact on sound quality of a sub, within reason.

Find a prefabbed JL Stealthbox and find a sub that matches close to the internal volume. Mount the amps behind the rear seats... same old routine otherwise.

Thanks for the input Dilatory. I had looked at the JL Stealthbox when i was putting my system together for my Jeep and had heard some good things about them, but went for a less expensive option at the time.

The issue with the current generation of Ram trucks is the lack of a rear folding seat, however after doing some research ive found some modifications that can be done to make this possible. The Amp installation atm I'm less worried about as it wont likely be a difficult decision of where to put it.

Is there a general consensus that the JL stealhboxes are the best option for my application, or are their other quality companies making similar installation options. Price range for the JL equipment starts at $600 and I would hate to still be left wanting.

For $600 you can have someone fabricate a custom enclosure to your specs. Didn't realize they were gouging that much. You can also try MTX or look on Sonicelectronix for your application. Just be wary, some of these manufacturers pump out very generalized and overall very poor fitting boxes. Being able to "Jam it in there" is considered worthy of being called "fitted custom enclosure" to some of these goons.

Edit: To clarify the reason I reccomend JL and MTX is because at least you know what you're getting is actually built to spec, not half-generic garbage. It's the cheaper ones that you need to be wary of.
