so I'm goin over to my old mans to day to install a sony hu and 2 pairs of 6.5's in his 02 travelaire trailer.... and I just want to know what am I getting into.... is it a real mess and are they common grounds like a boat???

well not sure about that traler, but in our motorhome(just put new deck and 4 speakers in) it was comom grounds, what a pain in the ****. and trying to rewire isnt the funest eather, lots of the wires were put in befor the interior was put in so it really hard too find a place to run new wires.

i didnt think they had batts in trallers? atleast our Jayco travel trailer didnt, do the new trailers have a batt?

ok so there's power and **** sittin there but there's only one set of wires for speakers.... it's looped so I think they put each end and the 'speaker location' sticker... anyone heard this?? I'll post pics if people want and there's a white wire and black, white being pos I assume and there a laced open wire with a ring terminal and I assume that and the black are neg....

Don't assume white as positive and black and negative. On most RVs, wiring is exactly the opposite!
