Personally if I had that option i would'a went with the Kenwood too lol For new decks that i looked at it was between a Kenwood and the Alpine both mp3's. They were both in the same price range and I feel Alpine has better quality than Kenwood (even though the last deck was a kenwood but was given as a xmas gift) so I figured if I'm gonna spend this much on an mp3 deck why not go with the Alpine that I really like and feel is better in quality. And if im not mistaken it has an extra preout? (not that it'll matter since i'll only ever prob use 2 lol) So I stuck with the alpine. I'm disappointed mines the only deck that didnt come with the fancy circle sub control image on screen lol

Ok ok... I took some pics..... Damn night shots are hard to keep the camera study.... I guess it doesnt help when using shutter speeds between 2 and 15 seconds... lol!

Also played around with the butto colors between the shots!

Anyways.... here's a couple....

Here is the one i went with..

What really sold me on it was it has the 3 pre outs.. both front and back and a non fading sub.. Also has control on the Non fading sub so when i have friends with kids i can turn the box way down to almost off.. Also has the built in low pass and high pass filter.

I still like the Alpine deck you have, wish i would have went with a non flip face as it covers teh pocket where i want to mount the epicenter display.

Man those are some sweet Alpine decks!!! How much did that 9835 cost you? I love it! Still wish I would'a got the 9815 lol They look so much nicer without the cd slot.. lol

The Kenwood is awesome as well though I'm not a fan of the ones that flip out like that to many things to distract me more than a remote already does lol

Nissan Guy - I'm lovin that disco ball

lol! yeah the disco ball is hot!

the 9835 I got for $570 CAD + tax ... I liked the guys at this shop too (first time I bought from there, but they had heard about me) ... so for futur purchases, I'll most likly be going back. I was happy with the service! Don't know what any of their work is like, as I don't let many people touch my car apart from myself. But if they do nice work, I may have them do my kicks and image them properly.

Let's all ooh and aah at pics of all the same decks.

I had a 7977 in the day and it both was too bright and didn't fit the dash trim colour. I like to have some balance and not something that's going to take my eyes off the road.

For the one going off on a tangent as to my "obvious" reply, what may have been missed was the little '.' of indifference.
