SWI-JACK stearing wheel programming issues

Hey everyone,

I'm in the process of installing my stereo in my car. It's a 2005 mazda 3 sport, deck that I am installing is a Kenwood KDC-X891.

I have the SWI-JACK installed, I'm using the white wire like the their web site says to use. I capped off the green, yellow, orange and blue wires, and did NOT cut the purple and brown wire. Red wire to a switched +12volt , black to ground. White wire is connected to pin 9 on the factory harness, and pin 10 in connected to ground.
Here is their web site on how to wire and program everything.

http://www.pac-audio.com/swixprogramming/showstepbystep.asp?InterfaceChecked=2&RadioGroupPi oneer=0&mmSearch=Mazda&Submit2=Search+Vehicles&ID= 92

I have the interface programed to version 3. Radio Select switch is set to 3 for kenwood. According to the led on the SWI-JACK I was programming the stearing wheel buttons right. I programmed volume up, then volume down, mute, source, I skipped seek up, programmed track up, track down, then skipped Disc Up/FM, and Disc Down/AM. The ones I skipped my wheel does not have buttons for.
Like I said, it seemed to work out properly, I waited for the 3 slow flashing light and the 3 rapped flashes.
I tried operating the deck but it didn't do anything. I tried programming then trying right away, I also tried reprogramming turning the ignition off then on again and tried the buttons again, but nothing. I also tried programing with the aux in unplugged as well as plug in, and I also tried with the aux in(the HU itself) turned on as well as off, but I can't get it to do anything.

Any suggestions?
Thanks

there is a known issue when using the SWIJACK on kenwood headunits. IF you have rev 1.6.16 then this applies to you. I can email u the fix if you want it

Why not just post the fix for anyone looking, and for those that can use the search function?

This is most likely the problem, I'm pretty sure that my HU has rev 1.6.16.

I agree with Njord, maybe just get it posted here for anyone else that may be having the same issue.

Thanks
