yes there is your problem!! ... your ground wire should never be smaller than your power for starters.... but before you go and buy a bunch of 4 gauge think ahead and see if you planning on upgrading your system in the future because the t3-500 is minimum 4 gauge but recommends 2 gauge and if you plan on upgrading in the future then you could always just get 0 gauge....the bigger the better

o and your amp wont handle a 1ohm load, it will go into protection.... the best you can do is 1.5 ohm i think unless that is the t3-1000 im thinking of, i cant remember

With my experience with amps the wire he used “I think” should be fine just to turn it on and get some sort of sound; you will need bigger cable anyway but 9v to the amp?? Check the voltage at the terminals of the amp if its 9v by rights the amp should not work and the problem is most likely else where in the wiring, try starting the car and see what the voltage is then also what he said before check if its electrically grounded and not just to the paint.

P.S. I just thought if the amp is not grounded properly that can blow your headunit the amp will draw power from the rca out on your head unit and may pop components inside!!!!

yeah I am going to try and upgrade to 4 gauge. And yes you are correct, The t3-500 is only able to do a 1.5 ohm load but I have everything wired to 4 ohms. I dont want some massive ear drum blowing bass...just something better then my sony's lol and im positive these subs will do the trick even in 4 ohm. I just have to fix the leak in my trunk first so I dont ruin the box
