subs wont do anything
I am trying to hook up some subs but they wont go. they are rfp2215's and the amp is t3-500. this should work. the amp is turning on but the subs arent going so I thought it might be my wireing. I wired them 4 times. each differently. first time I wired them to 4 ohm, second to 1 ohm, third time single 4 ohm and forth time I had them at 1 ohm each. not once did the subs turn on. I heard them go before I bought them so im sure there not blown . Im out of ideas of why there not going.
I hook up my other system and everything works fine.
my second problem is that everytime I un-hook the rca's from the amp. it turns off.
I need help getting this going.

how are you grounding this amp? and are you running sufficent power to the amp? what is your headunit, and does it have a filter on? perhaps try making sure your filters are off and then post up some more info on your system/

head unit is am alpine cda 7897, I am grounding it with a wire to the frame in the trunk, same as I had for the other system. im new to the digital amps so I dont know what one says volts. the display on the left says 9 and the display on the right says around 11 if I remember correctly. for power, the power is running right off of the battery. I dont know what else to say..

That is why instantly I thought ground..The rca's are grounded (outter shielding), and if you had a system previously in and grounded to the same spot. it should be fine!!! Try moving your ground to a diff. spot of the vehicle, and if you are running @ 9 and 11, Left is voltage if I am not mistaken and right is tempurature(spell check). You might want to look into that more

hmm..the rca's have a seperate ground, should I use that? I never did on any other systems so I didnt figure I needed it and dont know if I do still.
the number on the right display moves like up and down but the one on the left stays at 9. something I forget.
yea I just grounded it in a diff place, hooked up old system to see if it worked, it did so I hooked up new system and got the same thing. I dont know if its an amp problem which would suck because yet it is new, its second hand so no warrenty but the amp was good when I bought it. he hooked it up to the 1 sub he had to show me it goes, get home and get nothing =(

i have a t3-500 and yes the left is Volt, right is temp.... so your amp is reading 9 Volts which is not good..... what gauge wire are you running? have you sanded all the paint off your grounding point?
you should have minimum of 4 gauge power and ground for that amp....

9V with the car on aux. you gave me ideas of why it might be happening. I didnt know the size of the ground mattered sso im going to get 4 guage for that and get 4 guage for power too. right now I had 14 guage ground and 8 guage power so like you said..it could be why its ****ing up. If not..im just going to get someone to re-wire my whole set-up from the deck. (im too lazy to do it again)
