sub not as loud as i thought

Unhappy sub not as loud as i thought

hey guys,
i got a JBL GT-120 sub and a Kenwood KAC-7201 800 Watt amp and i hooked this stuff up and i wanted heavy bass but its not doin REAL HEAVY just like ok..any ideas?

what is your box ?
ported / sealed ?
what is the cft of the box ?

Could be many reasons. If you think it hits ok, it could be because the equipment is ok.

Did you connect it properly(bridged)? Gains set correctly? Xovers correct? Sub output on the head unit set ok? Fuses all there and correct value, cause I had a problem melting glass fuses in the power wire, where they did not burn, but passed very little current?

^^^ Box design is a major factor...

read threw your amp owners manuel carefully and take your time trying to understand how to set up the amp. and if cant figure it out still find someone who really knows how or a professional

well men trll us what we ask like WHAT BOX DO YOU HAVE !?!
if your box has a hole or air leak in it or youe box is to big

put pics of your sub install it might help too also if your sub requires a certain cubic ft add .5cubic ft extra i find it makes it louder

also is it only 1 sub???? and what size is it??
