that and there online manuel isnt very helpful,

"When maximum power is required, the KAC-X401M Mono Power Amplifier is ready to deliver 300 watts X 1 channel to drive sub-woofer systems to the max. With a maximum rated power of 1200 watts X 1, this MOSFET driven amp includes the Bass Management System for 6 or 12 dB of "High-Q" bass enhancement, variable low-pass and band-pass electronic crossovers, selectable infrasonic filtering to eliminate unwanted woofer movement, and Sigma Drive circuitry for accurate bass. Speaker protection and quiet turn-on features are also included in this competition quality monster amp."

or ill say da hell with it and hoock up the jl 500/1

well, either the amp does not work without this special woofer, or its pooched, i hoocked it up, at to the wiring diagram i found on the kenwood web site to one of the woofers it was previously connected to, very very very very very week, i meen my little ppi rated at 120 to a 4ohm bridge hits harder

so i go to the hatch to investigate, all my connections were 100%, but funny thing when i hit pause i could hear noise coming from the woofer, new to me cause my instale was quiet befor i unistaled the gear i had in there last summer (jl 500/1 2 ultimate max 12s ina big ported box)

threw the jl back in the hatch, pounds like a ****, so does anyone know what i was doing wrong, or is the amp pooched like i suspect.
