I have a situation with my rear speaker location. Its very shallow. Its in the D Pillar of a wagon/hatch. I've already determined I'm going to need to build up the speaker mounts. Here's my question ...

How much clearance between the speakers magnet and the outer shell do I need to account for when building up the mounting location? Is a cm enough or do I need more?

Vehicle is a Suzuki Aerio SX, the intended speaker is an Infinity REF6002I 6.5 inch.

enough so they don't touch.. Any vibrations in that panel will make the panel buzz against the magnet.

if it has a small vent hole in the rear of the magnet, you should have more space if you plan on putting something higher than 40w (amp power) into it.
I presume we're talking about a small co-axial speaker.
