Securing subwoofer enclosure
So I just finished blasting my system and wanted to check on the amp, I opened the trunk and the box was pushed almost all the way into the corner, And I thought to myself well I better fix that...
One way of doing it would be to have brackets on the 4 corners on the box and screw them into the cover for the spare tire/jack.
Any other opinions? I don't want to woofer to smack something and rip the surround .

I've seen bungee cords. May take some creativity, but they work. Also, I've seen clutter placed in such a way that it stopped boxes from moving. I wasn't a fan, but the owner said it works so he wasn't going to change it.

If its in a trunk it really doesn't take a whole lot to keep it from moving, fasten some metal strapping from the rear deck to the box and usually thats suffice. In my hatch however, my box is tightly strapped, luckily there are factory anchors to hook onto. The straps also go through 1 inch holes that go throught the mdf of the amp rack. Last thing I want is to be upside down in a ditch with a 8 cube box on my head.

Bolt it down...the car will be long gone before rust or a few screw holes become an issue. Just make sure you don't drill through gas, brake, or electrical lines. I use Stainless 1/4"x1.5" self tappers, and L-straps myself, and I put heavy grease on the screws before I screw them in. I've never had a rust issue and i've been doing this for 20years in Toronto. 1 bolt in the front or 2 on the sides near the front and 2 on either side on the back will keep that box in place even under heavy cornering and braking.

bolting for sure is the way to go. Sometimes even that isnt enough. I seen a car in a accident that had 4 5/16" bolts through the box to the car. And even then the bolts ripped through the floor and the box went right out the hatch of the car.
So make sure you use some good sized washers on the bottom to help the load..... just in case.
