Kinslayer, please note I did mention that "IDEALLY" , that's where a port should be placed, however a car is NOT an ideal place for sound quality. Also the port should not be MORE than half the diameter away, just half diameter.

</font>
Well, honestly... Any troglodite with a circular saw and a screw gun can accomplish a sealed box that will at least half work. A vented box takes a little more understanding of box design

lol....true enouph Dukk, i think im going to build the sealed box at school for the 8 12's and a porrted box at my house for 6....just to see the diffrences, which i like better, and just for the experience. i have a question tho...for the sealed box how do i go from chamber to chamber with the wire?(do i just drill a hile thru each chamber and seal it up?). also wat do i fill the box with and where can i get it? ill probably have more questions in the near future but this should give me a better understanding for know.

Matt, why not use a proper speaker terminal plate(5-way binding post) on each sub chamber, that way you can re-configure the wiring, without removing the subs, while keeping each chamber sealed.
I thought it took a troglodite to punch a hole in a sealed box.., I stand corrected.
