Sanding

When sanding kick panels or fibreglass with some serious curves for that matter, what do you guys do to keep the curves and a uniform level. Not all bumpy and unlevel.

Ok, my bad i should explain myself better. I made kicks, or I should say am making kicks. I put resin on the fleece that turned out well. So i decided that i would put a layer of matting on to make sure that they are strong enough. Because of layers of matting i used, there are now high points.
Now my real question is, is there any methods u guys use so that when i sand down these high points i keep the original curves I had when the fleece was stretched. Cause it was a smooth curve when wrapped in fleece. But i dont want bumps and low points caused by uneven sanding. I would block sand but block and curve dont work. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

why oh why would you put the mat on the outside.
always when trying to do a fiberglass finished piece reinforce from the rear. You my friend have ALOT of sanding to do.
WHat I have found is when you use a bit of body filler to touch up the origional mold that it strengthens the piece enough (except in a woofer enclosure of course).
Lesson learned, reinforce the rear.

lol - Ralph there beat me to the reply. You want to do pretty much anything you can to avoid ever glassing on the fornt side of a stretch.
The set I just made I took resin, added milled fibres to strenghten it, then added cab-o-sil until it was the desired consistency and then poured it into each KP and rotated the KP until the mix coated the inside of the fleece completely.
It was easy and they are damn strong.

ok thanks jeep beats one thing we definetely do have here is a lot of boat shops. I'll take a look there. I usually get the resin from an industrial construction depot cause of the cheaper price. So i didn't know what to look for, but i'm learning what i need from you guys, thanks. It gets easier every time i do it
