k so happened yesterday, lol. i started a song rather loud, when the bass hit, it hit hard, blew the fuse in the back of the deck... put a new fuse in (same size) worked fine. blew it again about 2 hours later, at an average volume... changed it once again, seemed fine. then that night i started up my car to see the sony cdx gt230 deck, illuminated "failure" according to the owners manual this means it is wired incorrectly... i never touched the wiring, it was fine before that. didnt think much of it, kept playing fine then my speakers cut out, powered by 2 channel pioneer gm 3300t. shut it down, next day i ripped it all apart, everything seemed to be wired fine. tested all power wires, solid 12volts. could not get the amp to work again.. it would turn on and off by itself constantly, power light flashing. turn on lead had a steady 12v. i had this amp using the high input (as opposed to the rca) wired into the back of the deck. deck still works alright, except only 3 of the 4 speaker outputs are putting out a signal. still says "failure". i returned the amp to walmart, got my money back. im going to try find a better 4 channel. but i need to find out why my deck blew the fuse twice? any ideas? and i need to find out why only 3 of the 4 outputs are working? the rca to the sub is working fine and the second amp is fine. im stumped...
