here's the next hook. no VSS wire. they've gone to tranny speed sensors, and according to their mechanics there is no way to tap it. frickin' awesome, you got a deck with a wicked gauge package and you can't use it. gotta love it.

t raver1 smith, did you find a solution to the VSS wire problem? I just bought a used Alpine navigation box. There must be a way if the stock navigation system, which I am assuming is an Alpine, works.
Thanks for any help. BTW, the navigation should still work without VSS wire hooked up, right? It just won't be as accurate. I just want to know before I start taking things apart to install the darn thing. I got the navigation system for pretty cheap, so I can sell it easily if I had to.
