ridgeline ant adaptor

Just did an 06 Honda Ridgeline with a Kenwood DDX6019. First used the American Internation ant adaptor and it fit a little loose and had terrible reception. Then we tried the Metra with the blue wire coming off of it. Fit way better and reception improved but still not acceptable. Anyone have any ideas. I figure there has to be a turn on wire for the ant but it is not in the main harness.

If you are using a Metra 40-hd10 ant adaptor your blue remote lead is on it ???

yes it has a blue wire connected and that wire was connected to a 12 volt power ant wire. All the stuff we did to this truck and the factory radio ant is the only thing that doesn't work. I guess it could be worst
