Exclamation Removing Sebring factory radio

Has anyone done a deck install in a 2000+ Sebring sedan? I found metra lists as just un clip the trim panel and remove, the trim is the whole center part of the dash with the heater control in etc, I felt around and did not feel any screws on the bottom, but figured asking here would make my work a little easier tomorrow.
Thanks

there are no screws i dont think, the whole panel should just unclip. most 2000+ chryslers are this way.

if you are in a hurry, one of these really helps with deck removal and dash disassembly

so I would just try and get under a corner near the base and just gently pry forward? Do you need to replace clips after?

haven't done a sebring, but if it's like the intrepid, then it's a pop off cover with spring clips...just get hold of as much panel as you can and pull forward...you may have to pop the shifter cover first if it's covering part of the dash cover at the bottom. The deck should be screwed in with 4 phillips head screws...very easy disassembly if it's the same.

2001-2006 Dodge Stratus sedan and Chrysler Sebring sedan information
if you scroll down there is a picture of the dash, looks very similar to mine (except mine is a nice silver rather then that horrible wood)

Grab it at the bottom, pull out and up a bit. If this is daunting, take it to a pro.

The first time you do it, it's going to be nerve wracking because you'll be constantlly thinking that your going to break it after you do it once or a couple different cars it gets easy, just take your time and look before you leap.
