We managed to get the SPDT relay for the HU in and the amp rack 90% done, I'm just waiting for some aluminum and I'll finish it and get pics put up.
Also got the rear speaker pods mounted, speakers in and running. We choose to cut the pods down about 3/4 " and cut holes in the factory panels for magnet clearence. It also helped with angling the speakers front slightly. If we didn't cut the factory panel, the pods looked REAL out of place and cheesy, so there was little choice(another thing my bros lady can't know...lmao)
Ran new 10 awg speaker wires to the mids/highs.
Also there's now 100 sq ft of fatmat in the van . Split between..
- rear gate
- rear quarters
- front doors
- back 1/3 of roof and headliner
- spot deadening under the roof console up front and the pillars behind rear mids
The only problem that we're encountering is the increase of rattles and noises!! We did a outside the van walk around, to help find the exterior vibrations. The rear quarters vibrated badly, so we had enough mat left to do about 3/4 of them.
Fixed the panel vibration nicely but...
The left outer rear wheel well, the outside part exposed to weather, seems to be hitting the inner part(the van body) on biggest bass hits. They are VERY close together(<5mm) but not seemingly attatched. The most HORRID sound, wicked loud!!
There doesnt seem anyway we can use matting to fix it.
The only fix we've thought of is using bolts or self tapping metal screws to attach the inner and outer well together. Don't really like the idea but that vibration is awful and we'll be doubling our power this week!!
I'll get some pics when I can.
Seems like we have more interior rattles now too!!

The box is pretty well done. finally!!
Here's a few pics.
Alum tubing, corner brackets and metal screws.
I ran most of the wires/rcas through the tubing in an attempt to make it look cleaner.
The only thing you can't see in the pics is a crossflow fan mounted under the 2 sub amps, blowing up between them for cooling.

Naw, I haven't noticed any smell when sitting in the seats. But thats not surprising, between the coffee and smoke smell always in the air 
I use to notice a light smell , but only sometimes(like those 35deg days) when we accessed inside the rear interior panel(where our fuses/battery/mat is)
The mats been on a while now and I havent smelt it lately , I assume the light odor in can have in the heat, will go away in time.
