Rear window defroster?
#21
Well to answer some ??'s. First the metal tab came off the window, it was still atatched the the wiring. The paint was left on the glass. When I " tried " to resolder it back on the glass, of course the solder stuck to the metal tab an very little adhesion to the glass side. I was truly surprised on how much heat I used and the glass didn't bust. The solder "wicked" great, just didn't stick.
So next step I went looking for the cold version. Grrr again people looked at me like I had an horn out of my head or something. But knowing such an product existed ( thanks guys ) I did find some $11 by Permatex. It's called Electrically conductive rear window defogger tab adhesive. It's an 2 part, first was an activator you brush on then the adhesive. 24 hrs later it's ready to go. It's holding great and has an similar look to the stuff you use to repair damaged defroster lines. I'll update you guys tomorrow.
