RCA converter can power any amps ?
To make story short, my lexus has an OEM amp that power a sub, i want to add another amp, my old Kicker DX350 to power another sub. As i understood, i have to unplug the OEM sub and use the speaker wires to install a RCA converter so that i can use the RCA to plug into the new sub.
BUT, can the device work with any amplifier or only for amplifier capable to receive speakers wires ? I have no knowledge on that issue.
Thank you.

thank you very much for the answer, because i'm confused about RCA converter and LOC for speaker line output.... So if my Kicker DX350 has no speaker level input, i have to buy RCA converter and plug a RCA between it and the amp.
Does it affect the SQ at all for the sub usage this device ? and how to do choose one, according to the max watts RMS rating or simply any kind ?
thank you.

On the sub channel it shouldn't make any noticable difference. The only problem that occasionally creeps up is if the Factory subwoofers signal has a pretty high High pass filter setting that you can't adjust. Often the manufacturers cut off the subs so they only play 50-120 ish hz. So you might lose some low end bass sticking with the stock setup

I see, thank you. Right now, my Lexus has a free air sub, it lack punch and i make the rear deck rattles like crazy, even with my trunk insulated. I want to replace my sealed sub with a greater amp to increase the punch effect with less rattling of the rear deck. The OEM amp is a Mark Levinson and i've heard many bad things about it, but i'm content with what it deliver on the other speakers. Does sub amp has filter bypass integrated in it, i remember i had a switch ?
