A question on capacitor
#2
yes it is. get the remote wire on the cap to be taken from a switched source. there might be hte odd chance that there is a short and the two powers are touching, but hat would be almost nil. but i have seen it. also make sure that there is no debris on the cap(no wires from the install) as there may(very slight chance) may be a piece of wire from when they installed it, that is touching the board

I have an Accucap and it will stay on for a minute or 2 after I shut the car off. As soon as there is a fluxuation in voltage, it will come back on. Basicly it shuts it self off. Yours should too. Just watch it for a couple of minutes after you shut down.

It can be complicated to install a cap.
1.) You don't charge the cap prior to connection and blow the fuse on that circuit.
2.) You touch your tongue on the cap when it's charged...hospital visit. (very complicated)
3.) You find out the hard way that caps continually draw a small amount of current when connected to your system. (Battery dead after a week of non use of vehicle)
4.) You accidently reverse the polarity of the Cap connection and have an "accident". (hospital visit)
5.) Try explain the actual usefullness of a cap your significant other.
6.) After installing your "magic" cap, your lights still dim. What is complicated about this? Refer to #5.
Aside from all the above, I don't see too much of a problem...I've got 2 of them and my ego is just fine.
EDIT: I'm being dramatic, please don't take this too seriously.

LOL, thanks for the info... I was several inches away from putting my tongue on it, then i thought to myself, this can't be smart haha.
But seriously, i have never isntalled one and I will soon have one. Wheres the best place for it and how would i charge it prior to use? Car battery charger?
