Question about porting stereo in to cab from trunk

I have a 93 pontiac grand am gt and i'm going to install 4 clamshelled hifonics 12'' square subs in my trunk in a ported box. Then I want to take out the small flip down back seat on the passanger side and take the 12.5'' wide x 16'' tall port from the ported box and have that sealed to where the back part of the seat was. Will this work with the subs being in the trunk still and the sound coming in to the cab from the port ?

should work. i dont have a trunk but my ports are fired towards the front under my seat and subs to the back. make sure you router the edges of the ports to reduce port noise.

youre better off to tyr and have everything facing into the cabin that is if you are sealing off the subs from the trunk. If you want some help with your BX subs pm me.you can have a much better design.
