With all of this talk coming from the west about how loud you think you could be, Yuli should take it as a compliment because 17 of the top 25 loudest vehicles in Canada are from the east. And only 2 of the top 10 are from the west. Judging from the Calgary show you better get back to work and get off the forums.

i neve claimed to have the loudest vehicle, and never said i could build the loudest, i did a jeep cherokee that had 2 concept pt 12" subwoofers, and 2 concept ccd1200 to each one, last time it competed it did 152 something, cant remember the exact score to the decimal point, and we built that truck in 2 days, a decent score for a daily driver, im not questioning yuli's ability to go loud, he has proclaimed his ability to go loud, on this forum, to the point of nausea, just his statements about making a loud vehicle that can sound very good as well

I agree that SQL is a dumb term. I am pretty sure Rodney Wills coined it when he was with Car Audio and Electronics. It stands for Sound Quality Loud. Which of course everyday ground pounders have been doing for years, heck minitruckers were doing it 15 years ago.
The supposed SQL system with 12 12's would be in a class that every other competitor would be 165 or higher and would get his butt handed to him probably as every other car would have plexi windshields and wood interiors in that class.

I don;t want to argue with you Yuli but there have been IASCA SQ winners that could pull high 140s and into the 150s for SPL. They are certanly rare though.
An I second the Focal SPL request. I tried to get a six pack of the SPL 15s off of them to build a car but then they wanted me to PAY for them too. Well, I wasn't up for THAT

defro take your 152 and enter it into iasca sq comp see how u do. i'd argue with u more but u have no clue. i love seeing ppl come on here and even real life saying i have a friend of a friend of a friend of the next door enighbour's sister's boyfriend who's car did 500 db's and the install only took 20 seconds. yah u probably did 152 db...that is not what im questioning, i want to know WHAT MIC WAS THAT ON? do it on the termlab and then take that same 152 and enter it into the sq comp.
oh ofcourse, i dont doubt that BUT do they turn itup into the 150's while on the rta???? I HIGHLY doubt...why? b/c it sounds like shiit thus NO SQ thus it's not 'sql', it's either sq or spl. there is no mix. mix of both = neither (or just spl).
ehhhhhh buddy, thats not 'sql'. thats sq. as you said it's a 'mix' of both right? thus for it to be a mix u'd have to play everything at the same time?? no??? so play those 12 subs and 12 amps while u are in the sq comp then it's a true 'sql' set up when u mix both.
Here lets reffer to our friend mr. dictionary for defenition of 'mix'
To combine or blend into one mass or mixture.
To create or form by combining ingredients: mix a drink; mix cement.
so yah, u got to have both blended in for it to be an 'sql mix'. and when u start to turn things off thats not a mix. lets get that straight.

i could kiss u right now for saying that

but why can you not load 12 12" woofers in you sport utility with 1 amp to each one and shut 11 of them off for sq,

rather than give you a resume, i can assure you that i have a clue what i'm talking about, i find it very difficult to try to communicate with someone who is so taken up with trying to make arguements with people he has no idea about and questioning their knowledge and experience, you are an interesting fellow, that cant be disputed. in reading your post are you saying that to have a stereo that goes both loud and sounds great you have to be able to play all the woofers at all times even while critically listening to a stereo, then would we be evaluating a stereo for sq at 145-50db or so? for it to be fair by your reasoning

yes that is exactly what im saying, sorry man 135db is not spl and kenwood tweeters is not sq.
why do u think they have a certain db cap at iasca sq comps and when u break that u get disqualified???
yes u have to play all the woofers at the same time to have a mix, thats what u said MIX. so i looked up 'mix' just to creal up the meaning. so i guess the dictionary is wrong then? b/c other wise if u start to turn things off that is not a 'mix' thus not 'sql' b/c apperantly 'sql' is defined as the mix of the two.
let me ask u this....since alma gate's bronco had front speakers in the doors and other places that could reproduce normal music was her car an 'SQL' vehicle???????? PLEASE answer that!
also answer me this, b/c i have some half descent tweets and door speakers in my jeep that are powered by their own amp is my car also an 'SQL' car even if 'I' dont think so?????? would u define my jeep as an 'sql' car?
i guess if u answer yes to both then every single car with an aftermaket set of speakers, subs and a deck is an 'SQL' car.

please re read my post i added some crap in there
my main point is that you can have SQ and SPL all in the same vehicle BUT NOT AT THE SAME DAMN TIME.....which is implied by the word MIX
