I had to take my sub outta my trunk tonight because some ppl were trying to break into my car as I was walking out to it tonight to drive to see my sister. SO just incase dad didnt mention that being not covered on insurance I decided lets take it out incase it does get stolen. or someone attemps to more than these jerks did. Now herez my question:
Can I take the sub out leave the amp plugged in and all with just no sub hooked to the speaker wires, or should I take the amp out (probably will) if so do I just unhook the rca cables and take the fuse out? or can I leave the cables hooked up to **** and just tape them up and not have to worry about anything?

i'd remove the amp too, disconnect the fuze first, be careful disconnecting the amp wiring as most amps have stiffening caps , that if you short the positive to ground may fry it,everything else should be fine. just tape the ends up to prevent accidental grounding of your rca's.
p.s. get a digital cam ready to take some pics of some dyckheds as they run from yer ride, seeing as they won't get any other sorta gratification better yet boobytrap the trunk to add more pizzazz to the pictures

aint nothin criminal bout say settin up a rail, pump and switch that will spray a bleech solution at waist level for about 4' behind your car across the whole width
wrecks any would be theifs clothes, and they gotta walk home lookin like they pissed themselves. just hope u dont have a midget tryin to seal your stuff cus u will get him in the face lol......
theres always the good old bat trick....wait by the window... with a bat, and when u see em tryin to get into your car, u let em, then sneak up on em...... with a bat...... remember no swingin above the waist tho, and try to avoid joints as tempting as that is...... hit quads, hamstrings and calves u wont break bone, but u garauntee they wont be runnin...for a couple weeks...

just make it too heavy for them to carry your ****, or jam it solid in the car so it can't come out of the trunk, and make sure everything is screwed down, preferably with stripped screws so it takes a day and night for someone looking for a easy steal. and then wait for them with a bat...or better yet, if u have a good shot, a highpowered bb-gun (a paintball gun would also work)

what my friend said for me to do with my box is to bolt the sub box down in many places.. but... instead of using bolts use different things.
one spot use a big *** screw, another use a small allen key screw, another one .. say.. a stripped bolt..
mix it up a bit
if they want to take it they will be there for a while. and in most cases anyone thats trying to steal something wants to make a fast job of it and personally if i ran into this i would just say **** it.
on the other hand, they could just steal your car which was the case yesterday with my friend. his car got stolen infront of his house like 4 days ago. he got it back from the cops yesterday without his stereo / cds and other parts of his car.
well ill stop rambling. people that steal **** are ******** and around where i live it happens daily to just people i know, which is pretty damn sad.

Avital 2100 - $200 installed at Future Shop. Good set-up and very reliable. Features include starter kill, shock sensor, trunk pin, door pins, parking light flash and I believe it to be a 118db siren. Also has 2 additional outputs for maybe power trunk release or other imaginative ideas. Didn't you buy your Rockford stuff a Future Shop too?

The problem if you make it hard for people to get the stuff out is most of the time they will give up but before they do they will trash and break everything..
I have an alarm on my car, plus I have a big scary guy with no patience guarding it too
