I recently installed my Kicker KS 60.2 components in my car doors.

Today I noticed that my front stage was slightly shifted to the drivers side.
I investigate and notice that my passenger side mid-woofer is not working.

I just took apart the door and found that the speaker is fine.
If I feed it the speaker signal directly from the amp, it works fine. but when I feed the amp wires to the crossover and the crossover to the woofer, I get no sound.

The tweeters work fine.

So I'm guessing I blew the mid channel on my crossovers?
I did not even know this was possible! :S

Is it possible to get new crossovers?
What can I do to avoid blowing my crossovers again?

Are you sure that the wire from the crossover to the mid is not dead shorting somewhere? Start doing a continuity check on the crossover, it might be a simple cold solder joint in the crossover componentry as well.

That's what happened to my RF Xover, I had to take it apart and re-solder a component back into the board. Then added a little hot glue over the component so it won't come loose again. Never had another problem with it.

Yea the wire from the crossover to the speaker is good.
I forgot to mention but I tried connecting the wires coming from the amp to the wires going to the speaker and that worked fine as well!

It is the crossover for sure.

So i should try to take apart the crossover then?

I would. Unless their still under warranty. Could be that simple. Just inspect the board & lightly wiggle the components. Shouldn't be too hard to find the culprit. A little solder and will be better than new.

I blew apart a resistor in the crossovers for my PG zenon's with 200 RMS x 2


should be an easy fix to replace the damaged component
