This can cause the amp to turn on before the HU sends signal to the RCA causing a power-up pop. Likewise, the amp may stay on longer than the HU causing a power-down pop when the RCA loses signal from the HU.

I thought you had this figured out....

there are only two possibilities for turn off pop as far as I am concearned.... either the amp is making the pop because it sees signal as it shuts down, or the deck/EQ sends out a pop as it shuts down....

rig your amp so it stays on by jumping power to the remote turn on... if this solves the problem you need a delay to keep the amp turned on for a moment while the deck and EQ shut down...

If it dosen't you need a relay that kills the RCA connection as the deck and EQ shut down.....

in the wiring harness that goes form the stock set up to the new deck the wiring harness that i picked up had the power and the Switched 12V+ flipped
so the power was cut out befor the deck powered down and a pop is sent out the the amps

if you are saying you had the switched turn on lead and power wire going into the deck reversed.... that will definatly cause a pop as you take away 12v power.....

I doubt it had anything to do with when the amp was switched on or off....

next time check your wiring first...

My amp makes the "pop" sound too, but im pretty sure its cause is my ipod. Will the "pop" hurt anything on my system?
