Noob wiring question

Hey guys, got kind of a stupid question here....

I've got a Mcintosh MC431 4 x 100w amp for my door speakers, and I wanted to know if it matters which speaker goes to a specific channel, or does it not matter?? I've got 4 speakers to hook up, so I'm using all 4 channels.

Thanks!! Any help is appreciated

It all dpends on how you connect your rca's from your hu to the amp input, you have to follow the same pattern when connecting the peakers so you can have (left and right) and (front and back) fade.

Alright, makes sence. On my head unit I can turn certain speakers off and leave just one off, so I guess that would make it a little easier.

Yes that can make it easy, but make sure you turn off power when you are removing rca's or swithcing speaker wires.

You can do front rca's to ch 1&2 and rear rca's to ch 3&4, and maintain your left and right.

Assuming you have 2 sets of rca's.

That's exactly what I will do, thanks!

Another question for my subs... I have two NVX VCW 104's on my Orion XTR 9002. I have them wired at 4ohm bridged, and I don't know how to set the amp up to run that. There is various settings, and some are unclear to me in the manual. Where to put the speaker wires are obvious, but the left and right input phase switches are unclear to me where to out them.

Thanks

Actually I think I got it, correct me if I'm wrong.

There's two setting on the right phase: 0 180
And three on the left phase: 0 180 Mono

I'd put the right phase to 0 and the left phase to mono, and I would only have to use the right RCA.

Thoughts?

Thanks
