Noise on line question

I just had my gear installed but I am hearing a weird sound through the speakers. It sounds like engine noise (like the whine of a turbo spooling up) but only occurs when I am driving and accelerating. It does not occur when I have the vehicle in park and rev the engine (which I tried thinking it might be coming through the RCA's). Any thoughts or suggestions? I have everything grounded pretty well ..amps to a 0 guage distribution block..grounded to the chassis.

Any help would be greatly appreciated?

Gear:
Deck: Pioneer 4800MP
Amps: Infinity 1211a and 7541a
Power Accoustik 5 farad cap
Ultimate 0 guage wiring kit
RCA's - sub - Bassworks (silver twisted pair)
RCA's - 4 channel - Monster Cable's Micro XLN (1 cable)
Subs - Polk Audio DB212-2

Hi Zzzzz..thanks for you help.

It is in a 1994 Honda Accord EX-R (4 door sedan). The power wire (0 guage) was run on the passenger side of the vehicle. The RCA's were run on the driver's side of the vehicle. I asked about the ground and yes, the paint was removed before installing the grounding block. The battery to ground wire (big 3) definitely had its paint removed as I watched him to do that part.

Any thoughts on why it doesn't make the sound in park but does in drive (automatic transmission)?

I'm not sure of the model or year, but i've heard some of the pioneer decks had a noise problem that nobody could get rid of.

Does anybody know what models that affected?

All models are affected and it has been like this for years. You need to attach a better ground to the shield of the rca cable at the cd player end of the line. You will only need to attach to one cable.

It is a design issue with the grounding plane on the Pioneer circuit boards, has been for over 15 years now. It can be caused by installation but more times than not, it is that way out of the box. An easy fix though.
