Okay so bare with me as im not good with this stuff at all...

I just got an audiobahn A8002T amp and im in the process of getting a pioneer DEH-7700mp car deck and soon a sub. But my question is this..first my amp is pretty powerful and i will need a cap i believe but what i am wondering is that i purchased an amp wiring kit from wal-mart. The only thing i am worried about is its not 4 guage, its 5 is this a big deal? will it hurt the amp in any way? i have seen a cheap wiring kit from sonic electronix here

and also, i have a 93 civic hatchback and am wondering is 14 feet is good enough to go from the battery, to the hatch, lol, at the end of the car? i mean its a small car, but i dont even know where the wire passes through to get there

anyways, if someone wouldn't mind taking the time to help out a newbie, id greatly appreciate it.

your wire will run form the battery ,18" away will br a fuse ,then thought the fire wall, next to the floor under the floor mat ,to the hatch to the amp.
why the cap ? if you think you need one get a bigger battery and alt and use the $ form the cap to get the cost down

I dont think that I have ever even seen a 5 guage amp wiring kit, didnt even know there was such a thing.

It should be fine though with that amp.
