you can drill the 8 awg hole out a bit to fit 4 awg

actually i ended up going to the shop/guy i usually deal with. (he's been in the business for 20 years and is an occasional iasca judge)he said its fine to run a separate line to the amp from the batt, but suggessted using 4ga instead of 8

he said either that or a distro block would work fine. in the end they both do the same thing (obviously) just having a distro block will use less wire, and be a bit neater
