Need Help With Wiring.
Hey Guys,
I bought a set of R/F comps and i need some help with wiring.
Im not running any speakers of my head unit.Im running them all off my amp..The insructions only tell how to wire them with the head unit.Any ideas on how i can do this.
The x-over shows mids + - input and tw + - input
mids + - output tw + - output
Also can they be ran parallel to the 5x7 R/F in the back deck?...So i only need a two channel amp?
Thanks,Ed

Since you have both mid & tw inputs, that means the set is bi-ampable. It probably comes with a jumper that attaches mid - & tw + together, that leaves you with only 1 + & - leftover, so you can run both off the same amp output.
Your second question depends on the ohm rating of your speakers and amp.
IF your speakers are rated 4 ohm AND your amp will do 2 ohm, then yes, you can parallel front and back off the same amp. The problem with that, is that there will be no control over level between front and back, you'll be stuck with what you get. Also, running mast amps at 2 ohm is at a higher distortion rating and the amp will run hot.
What you really need is a 4 channel amp, just for the fronts, so you can bi-amp them.

I have delt with and also sent people (with good results) to:
Sound Center - 905-686-1400
73 Hunt Street, Ajax, ON L1S 1P3
Great for basic installs, don't think they do custom fiberglass or anything over the top.
