Hey guys,

Having a problem. I bought a used AVX-P8DVD DVD player/flip-out screen and am trying just to make it power up to test it. I can not get it to do anything. It basically only has 6 wires.

Red - Accesory
Yellow - Battery
Black - Ground
2nd black (with the yellow) - Ground
Green - Connected to power side of parking break
orange - illumination

Anyways, here is what I did. Connected the green and 2 blacks to ground on battery and red and yellow to positive on battery. When I do this, nothing happens. The only light that comes on at all is a little red blinking light behind the small detchable face plate.

So, can anyone help me out? Do I need to contect it to a controller or something else or does it sound like something is messed? Anyway I can test the wiring harness and the deck?

Any help would be greatly greatly appreciated.
