Need help figuring out novice alpine setup
Hello, I have put in a small system into my suzuki sidekick and recently came across a good deal on an alpine mrp-f356 flex 5 and decided to use it to power my speakers which presently run off my deck, and replace my rockford fosgate 100w amp which powers my sub.
The system is all Alpine S series, 2x4" and 2x5 1/4" and a 12" sub, The lowest RMS rating is on the 4's which is 45rms, the flex 5 is 4x40 and 1x100 to the sub.
I've realized though my deck has one set of RCA jacks, the amp has 2 sets, front and rear. Does this mean i'm going to lose signal to one set of speakers?
This is the first system i've ever touched, so I'm kinda clueless.
Here's a link to the amp manual, kenwood kdc-mp145.

You may have two options, both of which will work.
1) see if the amp has a parallel input switch. This means that all channels can be driven with the use of one input. It may say 2/4 on it.
2) a simple set of rca "Y" cables will also take care of the problem. You will not have fader control between the speakers. This means that you will set the gains properly (in general), so that the rear speakers are not overpowering the front speakers.
Best idea for you, upgrade to a cd player that has 3 high voltage preouts.
