I have a few customers claiming that the Ford dealership has told them that there is a chip that can be installed into their factory decks to enable them to read MP3 format. This customers has a 2003 Escape. If anyone can verify this for me, it would help.

I suppose it's possible, but I doubt the Ford stealership would be able to do it. Sounds to me like Ford may have an MP3 deck that they are just going to swap with the factory one.
