Loudest Ford Taurus On Earth
Hey canada, I'm like most of you on here, made a few posts, love bass, asked for some help, and i have a dream. That is to make myself different from everyone else, i hate seeing someone wearing the same shirt as me, it can be the same brand and design, but not the same colour, know what im saying? I'm not a audio idiot, i know abit, and am MECP certified, but i have only worked at 2 shops, Kromer radio, a "high class" shop which was my first stunt, and i was supposed to do like half the work, but they would just throw head units at me and say install, so i learned quickly. i also worked at futureshop, which was great, but there wasnt much custom work like i'd want.
so i finally got my first car, a 2000 Ford Taurus SE, pretty pimp, power everything, same ol' shitty stock cassette player. I have obviously been thinking about a system, being an installer and being crazy in love with bass, so i bought 4 Digital Designs 2515 dual 4 ohm woofers. the only thing is, i've spent $4415 on car, repairs, registration, PS3, beer, bud, all that , but now comes time for amplification and a source, plus speakers. but i dont have enough! i wanted the Alpine IVA-D106 with 2 sets of the 6 1/2" type -R Alpine components, and 2 Hifonics BXi 2008D's (4000W RMS total) for subs and a ZXi8408 running to the highs, with the woofers in the door, tweets glassed to the side mirror cover plate thing, and have next set under the dash because ive got the 3 seater from seat, no console, perfect for walling out the backseat of just a big box. I would like to have an AudioControl EPIC-160 to see what numbers im putting out, be it slightly accurate or not, and have stinger wiring. i was thinking of upgrading my big 3 to 0 gauge and have 2 runs of 0 to the trunk for the two monoblocks, and a 4 gauge to the highs amp. i searched around and alot of people say dont add extra batteries because its a strain on the system and alt. and to not add a cap because its just more resistance in the load. i dont know what i going to do, i could buy 2 monoblocks and run pure bass? or run new speakers and 2 15s in the trunk? what do you guys think?
Point being, i need something to power my subs, and i need a CD player with iPod function, even though sound quality is worse. i have a budget of about two to three thousand, over time after i save some money. and i was wondering if iPod sound quality ever blew subs, and if anyones ever put 4 subs in a taurus, or car like that, because i plan to put the (fif)teens. have em jump around and
well i hope someone helps me...and i know it was a long talkative post, im pretty ****ed up so that why.
