My first impression, The battery would need a good charge on it(via trickle charge), and from there turn your gains down a notch or two...It may not help your dimming situation TOOO much, but it may...

I'll chime in and be the broken record... drop the 200+ on the yellow top... you'll have it for 7+years.. they have a low internal resistance allowing them to discharge and recharge faster than your run of the mill battery.. plus if you ever smash your car into hundreds of little pieces the battery will likely still be salvagable (don't try this at home)

^^^^I am now considering it......just gotta find a store that sell's it went to costco this week and they no longer carry it they use to sell the d34 for 180.

On anotehr noted i spent 2 hrs or so finally upgrading my damn grounds well finising it up....i moved the stock ground to new spot same wire length but new non rusty bolt.

And I also finisned the Big 3 in terms of putting the battery - to chassis/ engine block ground.

Im going to upgrade one more ground the one to the throttle boddy and maybe side panel.

PS. I dont know if im dreaming ot screwed in the head but the bass is much better sounding......but i believe lights are dimmin more........I think my alternator is farked.
