LANSTAR & HU Install

I just recieved my new Lanstar interface from Soundgate. Took 8 weeks to get here, 5 weeks back order, then shipped to my mother-in-law in Ohio, who shipped it to me when she got back from vacation.
Anyway, i opened it up and i'm not impressed. I was hoping it would have RCA's so i could make OnStar and chimes work just like the factory deck, through the Head Unit. The Lanstar has speaker outputs for Onstar and Chimes to go to external speakers. And it says to use a relay for the noise maker for the turn signals. Sounds Mickey Mouse to me, but i guess it'll be good to get those noises away from the system. I have a set of Eclipse 5-1/4 3-ways, i just don't know where or how to mount them. Under the dash?
This is all going in my 06 MonteCarloSS. Doesn't look like theres much room inside the dash.
I already have amps and speakers installed, now i'm installing my Alpine 9855, 2 CD changers with KCA-410 switch and a PAC SWI-ALP steering control interface. Should be interesting. I made my own interconnects using Belden star-quad mic cable. I'd like to run them down the middle, that worked well in my old car, but i think i have to take out the passenger seat and console. Back seat and rear deck have to come out as well to run cables. I hate to to think how much this kind of install would cost at a shop?
Soundgate says to use a relay for switched power if your deck will draw more tham 11 amps. I'm not using the deck power for any speakers, but it powers the switch & CD players and i assume i need power for the steering interface?
Back when i did the speaker/amp install, i used the factory wiring for the door speakers, but i think that was a mistake, i should replace them, if i have time.
It'll be a busy weekend.
Any tips would be appeciated. Thanx, Tom

I got to say I admire you guys who do install all the time. What a pain in the *** it is working inside and under the dashboard!!
I got my Alpine running, with a separate amp on each of 6 outputs, and although I still have tweaking to do, it's a vast improvement over the factory HU. Hooked up my new 6 pack and an old 12 pack and I can load up 19 CD/MP3 disks.
I still have speaker wires to run to the doors and I’m going to take out the passive crossovers to run active. I don't think the passive crossovers work well with time alignment.
The good news is the Soundgate Lanstar and the PAC SWI-ALP interfaces both work. It also took 3 relays, one for switched power, one for amp turn on and one just as a turn signal clicker. The Eclipse speakers didn't work well for chimes, I’m looking for something smaller and cheaper.

I had a problem with the steering wheel control interface from PAC. After a few e-mails, they suggested i move the switched power so it comes from the battery through a relay, not thru the car harness. Apparenty the switched power for the factory radio was regulated?
Anyway, that fixed the problem, now it all works.
Finally got around to setup on the alpine deck. I used the i-Personize on the alpine website, put it on disk, loaded it to the deck.
It's amazing! So much better than the factory deck. Cleaner, clearer or something. Going thru my CD collection again becuase i forgot how good some sound.
