interior road noise
Hey guys,
Ripped out my interior to refinish it and before I put it back I want to sound deaden and apply some kind of acoustical foam.
My goal is to kill all road noise, wind noise, vibrations and exhaust drone.
What products should I be using? What is the best way to do this?
I am not too worried about weight, my goal is more towards luxury.

[QUOTE=BreathLess;471905]Drowning out so much noise may not be a good idea. Can't hear other car horns or police/ambulances. QUOTE]
if that were the case then people would not be able to buy the luxury cars like high end bmw or mercedes! the less outside noise in the car, the better I always say - even if i need to make my music louder than the noise

my lexus isnt that bad, just want to make sure that when I open up the exhaust, get fatter tires and wider rims that it will stay quiet! And no rattles when I install the subs.
So I will not replace my windows, lol.
V comp looks good, but too expensive...
any cheaper solutions out there?

You can also try this. Go to Home Depot and pick up the gray carpet liner they sell. They call it ECOFOAM. Mold, mildew, odour and water resistant. It's sold per foot but also $40 for a 6'x9' piece.
I used it in my 95Hummer H1 with great results. Keep in mind other materials mentioned also weight down a car. This stuff is light, easy to cut and install with no mess. Plus for $40 you can't go wrong.
